Hugh Laurie and Emilia Clarke star in “Amazing Mauritius”

British actor Hugh Laurie won three Golden Globe Awards, including for “home” and actress Emilia Clarke “Game of Thrones” the voice of an animated feature titled “The Amazing Maurice” respectively

The animated cast of the animated film, based on the work of the same name by the late British author Terry Perchett, includes David Tulis (from “Wonder Woman”), Hamish Patel (from “Yesterday”), and Gemma Arterton (from Vita). And “Virginia” and Hugh Bonville (actor “Danton Abbey”) will also be present.

The film is directed by Toby Jenkel and Florin Westerman.

The film is an adaptation of a best-selling book released in 2011 and is part of the story of the famous Discovery World Book Series. The book, which tells a folk tale, won the Carnegie Medal and is considered Britain’s best children’s book.

The story of the book is about a street gingerbread cat who knows a great way to cheat. He meets a child who plays the reed and befriends a group of talking mice. When they reach the city of Blintz, the game ends to their detriment.

The film will be a joint production of the British Sky Network, the German Ulysses Company and Hamburg-based Rocket Studios and the British Gentilever Media Company. This animation is made with the support of the Perchet Foundation.

The film is set to be released in the UK in 2022 by Sky Cinema.

Perchett, who died in 2015, was the author of 41 children’s novels. More than 90 million copies of his work have been sold and translated into 37 languages. He was knighted in 2009 and was awarded the World Fantasy Award for a Lifetime Achievement in Writing in 2010
